Tom’s 46 years old and he still has that mindset where he’s trying to be the best at whatever he does. I’m the same way. Every time we’re around each other, we’re talking s*** and going back and forth, we’ve had a really cool relationship but we have ultimate respect for each other…What he’s done with his career, on and off the field, that’s something I aspire to be like, he’s the greatest to ever do it. I’m trying to be the greatest to ever do it so, he’s inspired me a lot of ways…

Crosby had nothing but praise for Tom Brady. The NFL great’s mindset has inspired him and Crosby is looking to follow Brady’s footsteps and walk away as one of the greatest players at his position.

Tom Brady reached out to Maxx Crosby right after he was brought in as a minority owner

The seven-time Super Bowl champion made it a point to reach out to the leaders of the Raiders right after his ownership position was made official. Maxx Crosby was atop his list and the defensive end revealed the text he received from TB12.

Thursday morning, first person that texted me in the morning was Tom Brady, chopping it up, asking questions, telling me…keep leading, keep doing what you’re doing, things are going to get better and things are going to improve. I think that’s really cool because he’s done it at the highest level. I have the ultimate respect for him.

Maxx Crosby added

It was not surprising to see that Brady wasted no time in getting to work and letting the key players on the Raiders know that they were valued and that the situation was going to improve.

Realistically, Tom Brady’s addition to the Raiders does not change a lot for the team this season. They remain the worst team in the AFC West with a 2-5 record and with the departure of Davante Adams, their offense is shorthanded. However, in the bigger picture, Brady’s addition to the ownership makes a positive change.

Brady will be able to understand what the team needs most. This can be in the form of a morale boost, roster upgrades, a change in coaching and culture, and so on. The Raiders will experience the benefit that comes with the addition of Brady in the subsequent seasons. For now, his addition to the ownership will be an incentive for players to stay in Las Vegas and leaders such as Crosby are motivated to play under a guy like him.
