- Maxx Crosby has expressed his desire to remain with the Las Vegas Raiders amid trade rumors.
- Crosby criticized media speculation, stating he is focused on his performance and not external opinions.
- Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak confirmed the team's intention to keep Crosby as a key player moving forward.
It is impossible to discuss elite pass rushers currently active in the league without mentioning Maxx Crosby. The 28-year-old has been the one bright light in the otherwise dim and dreary locker room of the Las Vegas Raiders. Other teams are constantly looking to poach Crosby from the Raiders, and the talks are getting louder.
As the trade window comes closer, those talks are bound to pick up even more. However, Crosby himself isn’t interested in leaving Vegas. During a recent chat with veteran journalist Jim Gray on the “Let’s Go” podcast, the former fourth-round draft pick shared his frustration over the swirling rumors.
I don’t really care what everybody else has to say. I used to [care about the rumors] a lot as a young guy. I really don’t give a damn [now though]. People can have their own opinions. I know what’s going on. I know my truth. I don’t need to sit here and keep rehashing it to people who don’t know what’s going on.

To describe Crosby’s prowess as a defensive end, one needs only glance over his numbers from last season. Despite missing the back end of the year due to a torn meniscus that required surgery, Crosby racked up 73 combined tackles, 10.0 sacks, a career-best 28 tackles for loss, 6 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception (stats accumulated in 15 games).
Will the Raiders trade Maxx Crosby?
Crosby has been a trade candidate for quite some time. Several teams approached the Raiders before the start of last campaign to acquire his services.

Vegas turned them down because they didn’t bring enough value to the table. Crosby clashed with the previous regime after they put him on injured reserve, a move seen as a tactic to secure the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Pete Carroll admitted that the team willfully benched Crosby shortly before the Raiders fired him.
According to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, the Raiders have talked about potentially trading Crosby if they receive the right offer.
Jay Glazer believes Maxx Crosby’s time with the Raiders is over and the price to trade for him will be more than what Micah Parsons went for. 🤯

Micah was traded for two 1st round picks and Kenny Clark. The Bears have to pay a big price tag if they want Maxx.

Crosby spoke out against Glazer’s report while appearing on FS1’s The Herd.
For me, I just sit back and laugh because I know my truth, and when I go to bed at night, I have a smile on my face because I don’t have to explain nothing to nobody.
Crosby told Colin Cowherd

The Raiders finished 4-13 and are due to draft first overall. ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. is convinced that the Raiders will draft Heisman and CFP champion quarterback Fernando Mendoza as their franchise quarterback and build around him. New boss Klint Kubiak is keeping his strategy under wraps, but one player he definitely wants to hold onto is Crosby.
We want him [Maxx Crosby] to be a part of our success going forward — there’s no doubt about that. He’s one of the best players in the NFL, so that’s a no-brainer.

The respect appears to be mutual between Kubiak and Crosby. Right after the Raiders announced the new hire, Crosby hopped onto his podcast and praised the former Seahawks offensive coordinator who just won a championship ring.
He [Kubiak] runs a great system; he’s had a lot of success being an offensive coordinator. You’ve seen what he’s done for Sam Darnold.

Vegas media reported that Crosby was actually the first player to greet Kubiak during his visit to the facility. That doesn’t seem like something someone who wants to leave the Raiders would do.
