Maxx Crosby lost his cool after another frustrating outing for the Las Vegas Raiders, which ended in a 32-13 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. The star edge rusher was seen pushing one of the Raiders coaches on the sidelines, which attracted a lot of unnecessary attention from social media.

The incident happened after Crosby jointly sacked Steelers quarterback Justin Fields with John Jenkins. By this time, the Raiders defense had allowed almost 30 points in the game.

After the drive ended, Crosby walked back to the Raiders dugout, and the CBS cameras followed him at every step. He suddenly pushed one of the staff members in frustration at their inability to stop the Steelers from scoring points.

Upon further review, the man who Cosby shoved turned out to be the Raiders linebacker’s coordinator, Mike Caldwell.

The 27-year-old went to have an ice bath in the tub when his phone started ringing with complaints against him for pushing Caldwell. Crosby had no other option but to set the record straight and claimed the video clip was very misleading.

According to the 2x second team All Pro pass rusher, it happened in the heat of the moment and there was no malice involved. Naturally, people thought the opposite.

You know how they do it—they just spin narratives. Mike Caldwell’s a great dude. We have a great relationship, and we do that all the time. It’s like people look at it, ‘Oh, they’re losing, and then Maxx pushes him‘.

Maxx Crosby revealed

Caldwell played 11 seasons as a linebacker in the NFL, and he has seen his fair share of frustrating moments. Both he and Crosby have seen the bottom of the barrel, which has shaped their character.

That’s how we play football—we’re grown men, we’re alpha males, we don’t greet each other the same.

Maxx Crosby added

Later, he tweeted a message for his fans to further clarify his stance. From his point of view, the shove was actually a ‘love push.’

Mike Caldwell Is My Guy. One Of The Best People In The Business. Thats A Love Push, Stop Reaching.

Regardless of the side chatter, the main conundrum is that the Raiders have forgotten how to win games. Antonio Pierce benched Gardner Minshew for Aidan O’Connell, who looked rusty with 27 completions from 40 for 227 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.

Running back Alexander Mattison carried the ball 14 times but only gained 33 total yards. Crosby’s frustrating night ended with just 2 tackles. The only positive was the rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who had nine receptions for 71 yards in a Davante Adams-less attack.
