The New York Jets are set to move on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers after a disappointing two-year tenure, marking the end of ‘an era’ that never quite lived up to expectations. The Jets sustained yet another playoff miss, extending their streak to becoming the team with the longest playoff drought of all teams.

While it’s unclear whether the team will release the four-time MVP outright or seek a trade partner, Rodgers’ future is now one of the biggest storylines of the 2025 NFL offseason. Rodgers has been linked with a couple of teams including the Los Angeles Rams – who have now restructured their existing deal with Matthew Stafford and bowed out of the quarterback goose chase.

Among those eager to see where Aaron Rodgers lands is Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby. Crosby has openly expressed his hopes of Rodgers joining the Silver and Black. With the Raiders in search of a reliable quarterback to lead their offense, Crosby believes the veteran signal-caller could be the missing piece to elevate the team’s championship aspirations.

“I think with all the doubt and all the negativity around Aaron Rodgers … I think he’s going to have a big year. I hope it’s in our town.

Maxx Crosby said on Tuesday’s episode of “The Rush Podcast”

Crosby described the prospect of teaming up with Rodgers as legendary and voiced confidence in the quarterback’s ability to bounce back in 2025.

Amid the worst phase in his career, there have been some strong calls for the veteran to hang up his boots as well. Some players have openly lashed out at the 41-year-old and expressed their desire not to play under Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers eyeing the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans as potential options

The future of Aaron Rodgers remains a major talking point this NFL offseason, with speculation growing about where the four-time MVP will land. According to NBC Sports’ Matthew Berry, the New York Giants have emerged as the most likely destination for Rodgers, followed closely by the Tennessee Titans.

While the Jets have yet to make a definitive decision on Rodgers’ departure, his potential landing spots continue to generate buzz across the league.

The game of musical chairs for QBs continues and no name is bigger than Aaron Rodgers. I’ve been told that Rodgers is now looking at three options, ranked here in order of likeliness as it was told to me: First, go to the New York Giants. Second, go to the Tennessee Titans. Third, stay in shape and wait for an injury/opening on a winning team with playoff chances.

New York is in a win-now mode, with general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll under significant pressure to deliver results. Acquiring a veteran quarterback like Rodgers could provide the immediate impact they need to turn their fortunes around.

Meanwhile, the Titans hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but reports suggest they may be open to trading the selection. If they do, Rodgers could serve as a short-term solution while the franchise restructures its quarterback plans.
