Mumbai Indians (MI) lost the opening game of their season to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as their Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign got off to an all-too familiar start. The side did not come good at the death with bat or ball which led to RCB stealing a last-ball thriller. However, as is the tradition of the side to lose the opening game of the season before coming back strongly, MI would still be confident.

Skipper Rohit Sharma would especially be eyeing a return among the runs after being run-out in the first match. He will take on one of his favorite oppositions in the IPL in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) today against whom he has an excellent record. He would want to make a statement that MI are the favourites to win the title and deservedly so. He has been given the perfect platform for that as well, with KKR choosing to field first.

Presenter and the wife of cricketer Stuart Binny, Mayanti Langer took to Twitter today to make a prediction on MI’s score in the first innings. She wrote, “If Mumbai scores more than 200, I want Vada Pavs. Because one must honour the hitman.” This tweet has now gone viral and fans have reacted to the same with some Rohit Sharma fans not liking the way Mayanti connected Vada Pavs to Rohit Sharma – which has been used as a meme often on social media.
