Even though Deion Sanders continues to defend his son, Shedeur Sanders‘ Pro Bowl selection with facts, the majority of the league’s fans believe it was undeserved.
They pointed out how there were other AFC quarterbacks with better statistics over the season whose teams also made it to the playoffs. On the other hand, the Browns’ QB’s touchdown-to-interception ratio, along with their losing record, did not help matters.
Even the 23-year-old was not prepared for the call, as he was enjoying his time in Paris with his brother, Shilo Sanders. With fans still wondering why the NFL decided to hand Shedeur Sanders his first Pro Bowl nod, the answer lay in a video Yahoo Sports shared.

The clip shows the Colorado Buffaloes star standing on the practice field and reporters asking him questions. As the camera moved back and circled the assembled group of reporters, it became evident why the NFL wanted him in San Francisco.
It becomes clear that nearly every reporter and media house at the venue wanted to speak with Shedeur Sanders. Other players are seen moving around in the background, but none of them were giving a sound bite.
This clip proved that no matter what statistics the rookie recorded, his fame triumphs everything. There is a reason why the Texas native sells more jerseys than many superstars and continues to draw national attention wherever he goes.
His popularity is such that rival teams were posting videos of their Pro Bowlers on their social media pages, but those that include Sanders in the frame.
Shedeur Sanders has honest admission on being named to a Pro Bowl
There is no doubt that some journalists try their hardest to get a cocky or entitled answer out of Shedeur Sanders. But when one asked him how he felt earning his first Pro Bowl nod, the QB replied:

It’s amazing, I’m truly thankful for it. I just come here, and I’m like, ‘Dang, I really get to be around all these great guys, these great coaches and everything.’ It’s surreal.
Shedeur Sanders replied
This was as honest as he could get, as the Browns’ signal caller knows all too well what everyone wants out of him. He has tried to stave off misdirection questions this past season and has become quite capable of handling whatever is thrown at him.
"It's amazing, I'm truly thankful." 🙌

Media training or not, Sanders tries to say everything with that trademark smile on his face, knowing that reporters and journalists will try to dissect everything he says. For him to stay humble and grounded was the best way to approach the swarm of media members looking for one word or line to use in a hit piece.
Shedeur Sanders reveals his ‘healthy’ pre-game diet
When Shedeur Sanders was preparing to come into the league, one of the criticisms levelled at him was that he was not as athletically good as some of the other dual-threat quarterbacks. However, during the seven-game stretch he played as the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns, the fifth-round pick proved that he can outrun defenders if he wants.
Salad… A little bit of chicken, just a little bit, but salad, though. Balsamic… Yeah, that’s how I eat.
Shedeur Sanders replied
Hearing this, Denver Broncos offensive tackle Garrett Boles, who also happens to be earning his first Pro Bowl selection, agreed that it was a very healthy meal.

Compared to the others who responded to the 33-year-old’s answer, it seems Sanders was one of those with the best diet plans set for gameday. Even though he revealed he was just eating a cake in Paris, it seems during the season Sanders remains dedicated to his craft, as well as keeping his body in shape.
