Reports: Memphis Depay may move to FC Barcelona

If reports are to be believed, Memphis Depay may move to FC Barcelona this summer. The development comes in the wake of Barca’s abysmal performance and eventual exit from the Champions League.

Barcelona suffered humiliating defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich (8-2), termed by many as the “worst” ever loss at the Champions League. The club has been looking for new transfers since then.

The Lyon star has only 12 months left in his contract and Barcelona are already looking to ship out Suarez to Juventus.

Ronald Koeman rates Depay highly and wants him at Camp Nou to partner Griezmann. Although, they have not reached any final agreement yet.

Depay agrees personal terms

With Thiago Alcantara looking to move to Liverpool, Barcelona might swoop in Wjinaldum. Ivan Rakitic has already left for Sevilla and, according to reports, Barcelona wants to rejuvenate its midfield.

The Lyon president said that Barcelona expressed interest for Depay and the La Liga giants wants to pair him up with Dutch boss Koeman. AS Roma too has inquired about Depay.
