After months of anticipation, the UFC has officially announced the forthcoming big event, Noche UFC. The main event will feature Sean O’Malley vs. Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title. Prior to the battle, both combatants engaged in trash-talking in an attempt to enhance the rivalry. Surprisingly, O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch, has also been added to the mix.

After the announcement, both O’Malley and Dvalishvili met for a promotional photoshoot. During the interaction, the Georgian expressed annoyance towards O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch. In response, the champ threatened that Welch would kill Dvalishvili with ease if they fought in the streets. Now, in a recent interview with Submission Radio, Welch responded to Dvalishvili with a stern warning.

I haven't trained martial arts my whole life just for some little 5'4 guy to try to punk me out. I've trained my whole life and I'm only 34 years old, I'm 6 foot, 195 pounds. It's like... alright let's see what happens.

Other than being the coach of O’Malley, Welch has been a professional MMA fighter himself. The ‘Red Hawk’ has a record of 14-6 and has a weight advantage over Dvalishvili if they ever fight. Dvalishvili mentioned that he would destroy O’Malley inside the octagon. Moreover, on the outside, he will take care of Welch. Not that it’s potentially going to happen, but the coach made some good points for his case.

Before things got a little serious, both O’Malley and Dvalishvili have frequently mocked each other through some hilarious skits. It seems like the challenger took one such skit seriously and then fired back with seriousness. Nevertheless, at the Las Vegas Sphere, both fighters will get to settle the beef in one of the grandest stages ever

Top bantamweight doubts Merab Dvalishvili’s chin against Sean O’Malley

Even before winning the bantamweight championship, Sean O’Malley was already popular. ‘Suga’ had a distinct personality revolving around jokes and memes. In addition to that, he was a sniper inside the octagon with great striking accuracy. His popularity skyrocketed after O’Malley beat Aljamain Sterling to become the champion at UFC 292.

On the other hand, Dvalishvili is currently on an impressive 10-fight winning streak and has the momentum to dethrone O’Malley. However, according to Marlon Vera, fans should consider Dvalishvili’s weak chin and O’Malley’s ability to damage.

People worry about Merab's chin because he's been dropped by everybody and I mean if you get dropped by Cejudo, good Lord fuck. That's a fucking 4 foot motherfucker right there, so I mean if he [O'Malley] catches him early the fight could be over

Vera has fought O’Malley twice and is the only fighter to beat ‘Suga’ professionally. In the last fight, Vera got hit by a nasty knee strike. Although he survived the knee, he lost the bout. ‘Chito’ believes Dvalishvili might not be able to survive it. Nevertheless, all questions will now be answered inside the octagon at Noche UFC.
