Mercedes Mone has established herself as one of the biggest female superstars in professional wrestling all over the world. In addition to wrestling, she can be found working on projects in music, TV shows, and other entertainment media. Recently, she was expected to be working with Megan Thee Stallion, but the plan fell through.

In this week’s Mone Mag, The CEO believed that she had made a mistake after publicly teasing a collaboration between herself and Megan Thee Stallion. A few weeks later, it was revealed that the American rapper was going to be a part of the new SmackDown theme. Although she did not directly state it, she implied that WWE got her on board solely to get back at the erstwhile Sasha Banks.

Although Mercedes Mone did acknowledge that this could be a complete coincidence, she claimed that she was the blueprint, and everyone went where she went. Furthermore, she added that she should not have made her plans public. From now on, Mone stated that she would now keep her mouth shut about such things.

It could all be a coincidence, of course. But then, they don’t call me the blueprint for nothing. In hindsight, I should have kept my mouth shut about it but all you can do is live and learn.

Mone said that while she would have also loved to work with the 29-year-old rapper, she was happy for her success. The AEW TBS Champion believes that she is a great talent, and this project would help her reach the wrestling audience as well.

Smackdown got a complete re-brand last week after the show moved back to the USA Network after five years. The season premiere of the blue brand featured a new logo for the show, some changes to the stage set-up, and a completely new theme song. This new song is titled “Neva Play” and is sang by Megan Thee Stallion, featuring RM of BTS.

Mercedes Mone reacts to WWE Raw shifting to two hours a week

A few days ago, WWE announced that starting October 7th, Monday Night Raw would once again be a two-hour show. The red brand is set to leave the USA Network in less than four months. Thus, the network is less likely to dedicate much time to the red brand. Top AEW star Mercedes Mone reacted to this change in Mone Mag Volume 2, Issue #15.

Mone was not a huge fan of this change to Raw. She believed that the extra hour, which was added to the show in 2012, gave performers a chance to shine. Losing this hour of broadcasting would simply translate to fewer opportunities for those on the roster. Furthermore, women already find it hard enough to get a lot of TV time on WWE programming.

The recent change to Raw will last until December 30th, the final episode on USA Network. After this, the red brand will move to Netflix with flexible run timings.
