Mercedes Mone has thoroughly enjoyed her time as an AEW wrestler since her return to AEW Big Business. She recently won the TBS Championship by beating Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing. The CEO has spoken about the differences she felt between both companies in multiple interviews. The 32-year-old wrestler shared what it was like to try to get time off in WWE compared to the Jacksonville-based company.

While speaking on the WFAN podcast, Mercedes Mone talked about how hard it was to get time off in WWE. She shared an incident where she repeatedly asked for time off to complete her shoot for the show she acted in, “The Mandalorian.” While The Boss found it difficult to even ask for time off, it was a completely different scene at AEW.

She stated that AEW co-owner Tony Khan completely supported her and even provided a private jet for her to travel on. “The Mandalorian” was a series from the Star Wars franchise in which she played the character Koska Reeves. However, this was not the first time she said something nice about him, as he also allowed her to visit her sick brother in his jet.

Even doing the Mandalorian was pulling teeth with the WWE to even try to get time off, so Tony (Khan) said whatever I need, if I need that private jet to go from filming in LA to coming for shows then it's available to me.

After capturing the TBS Championship from Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing, she has defended her title only twice. Her latest title defense came on the June 12 episode of Dynamite against CMLL star Zeuxis. The Boss expressed her desire to become “Moné Two Belts” when she beat the CMLL World Women’s Champion, Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door.

Mercedes Mone explains why she often refuses to sign autographs at airports

Mone is one of the most popular wrestlers, not just in AEW but worldwide, for the work she has done over the years. Like many celebrities, she also faced the problem of overenthusiastic fans asking for her autographs at airports and hotels. The CEO explained why she always refuses to sign autographs at airports.

While speaking on the same podcast, the 32-year-old wrestler stated that it was completely inappropriate for fans to stalk her. She often denies autograph requests at airports and hotels to avoid any unfortunate situations. Moné clarified that she is willing to sign everything if fans simply meet her at the arena.

I don't sign at the airports. For me, that's stalking because you shouldn't know when I land, what flight I am on, same thing at the hotels. If you're finding out what hotel I'm staying at, no, no no. You come to the arena early, and I'm always there, willing and ready to sign.

However, she wasn’t the only one who suffered from the problem, as top stars like Bianca Belair and Randy Orton have also talked openly about it. The situation becomes awkward as many fans become overexcited upon seeing their favorite wrestlers and relentlessly keep asking for autographs, which can be really irritating for the stars.
