The annual NFL Super Bowl finals recently concluded on February 9th. This year featured the Philadelphia Eagles challenging the reigning champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. As is the case every year, this event was attended by various celebrities, including many wrestling superstars like Mercedes Mone.

AEW superstar Mone recently attended the Super Bowl LIX Finals on Sunday. She was seen in the Caesars Superdome arena posing with a victory sign. The 33-year-old is a huge NFL fan and was even spotted reuniting with some of her former co-stars at a San Francisco 49ers game a few months ago.

Other WWE figures like The Undertaker and Vince McMahon were also spotted at Super Bowl LIX.
Meanwhile, Mone will soon be heading down to the land down under to compete at Grand Slam Australia on February 15th. She is set to defend her TBS Championship against one of the company’s top female rising stars, Harley Cameron.

Many other wrestling superstars are also known to be huge fans of the sport. Seth Rollins has described himself as a lifelong Chicago Bears fan. He has even said that he could see himself commentating on their games one day. Another superstar, Bayley, is also a huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers and is often seen attending live games of her favorite team.

Dave Meltzer claims AEW Grand Slam is Mercedes Mone’s biggest test yet

Mercedes Mone has participated in many high-profile matchups against some huge stars since her debut in AEW. However, Dave Meltzer seems to believe that her biggest test will come this Saturday at Grand Slam.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer heaped a lot of praise on the CEO. He mentioned how the company was going to Australia, where Harley Cameron would also be participating in the biggest match of her career. Not only is the challenger highly over with fans, but the bout will also take place in her home country.

Mercedes is really, really good, and I think this is the biggest test for Mercedes. Because they’re going to Australia and (Harley’s) from Australia, and she’s getting a championship match and she’s really (over).

Meltzer opined that Mone should not see this as just a regular match. She should take this matchup at Grand Slam as a challenge. She should do her absolute best to create a permanent star out of Cameron, no matter the result. He even compared these two female superstars to Ric Flair and Sting, saying that it was time for the TBS Champion to create a new star like the Nature Boy did with the Icon many years ago.
