“I got the right motherf*cker” Metta Sandiford-Artest sighs how he punched the right hooligan who pushed to cause Mallice at the Palace
Metta Sandiford-Artest or formerly known as Ron Artest is known for his short fuse that caused several fights in the NBA during the early 2000s. But one particular night, when the Indiana Pacers battled the Detroit Pistons, the player started a career altering brawl with a fan in the stands.
Famously known as the “Malice at the Palace,” Artest was already in a heated altercation with Pistons legend Ben Wallace. The two were each other’s arch rivals and battled it out for defensive player of the year. While they argued, a fan named John Green threw his drink at the Pistons All-Star.
This triggered Metta Sandiford-Artest who claims he tried to promise himself to remain calm and not fight with anybody. But this turned into a massive brawl and took almost all players on both rosters, referees and coaches to stop. Artest was on his way to stardom but experienced the trenches of hell by the end of that brawl.

Metta Sandiford-Artest reveals how the Malice at the Palace crippled his career
Metta Sandiford-Artest admitted that he was trying to stay calm as he knew the Pacers that had the best record the previous season were set to potentially win their first title. The player was suspended for the rest of the season and fined as much as $5 million as a compensation.
As he was the reigning defensive player of the year, he upped his game from averaging 18 per piece to 24.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Artest revealed that the media tormented him about the brawl and he felt attacked by them on many occasions.
Several believe this was Reggie Miller’s last hope of winning a title but it was stripped away from his own teammate. Artest said that he accidentally punched to wrong person instead of John Green. Ever since, the former baller has been all about positivity and peace as many of previous alias imply.
