- Alex de Minaur, the second seed, seeks his second title of the season after winning the Rotterdam Open.
- The 2026 Mexican Open runs from February 23 to February 28, with a total prize money of $2,469,450.
Several top players will return to action in the Golden Swing. Alexander Zverev, the first seed, will be bidding to win his first title since winning the 2025 Munich Open.
Zverev will lock horns with Corentin Moutet in the first round, and it will be his first match since his semifinal exit at the Australian Open. Sascha, who finished as runner-up in the final of the Melbourne Slam last year, played a thrilling five-setter against eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz, losing in five hours and 27 minutes (also the longest semifinal in the history of the tournament).
Zverev is a former champion in Acapulco. The three-time Grand Slam finalist lost to Nick Kyrgios in 2019 but beat two-time Major finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2021.
Alex de Minaur is the second seed, and he will be chasing his second title of the season. The Aussie defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final of the Rotterdam Open, clinching his career’s fourth ATP 500 title. De Minaur is also a former champion in the Mexican Open. He defeated Tommy Paul in 2023 and Casper Ruud in 2024.
The Norwegian ace, who played the Dallas Open after becoming a father for the first time, is chasing his first title since defeating Ugo Humbert in the 2025 Stockholm Open. He will be bidding to win his 15th ATP singles title.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is the fourth seed, and he will be hoping to finally add a tour-level title to his trophy cabinet, having lost all five finals he has played so far. The last time he made a final was at the 2025 Swiss Indoors, where Joao Fonseca denied him the win. The Spaniard was the runner-up in last year’s Mexican Open.
The champion of last year’s tournament was Tomas Machac, but he decided not to defend the Mexican Open and instead signed up for the Dubai Open, where he was scheduled to play Denis Shapovalov. Machac, however, ended up withdrawing from the tournament.

After suffering a pectoral injury during the 2025 Wimbledon fourth round against Jannik Sinner, Dimitrov made his comeback at the Paris Masters.
