Earlier this year, Carson Beck left the Georgia Bulldogs, a successful championship winning program to join the Miami Hurricanes. A $4 million NIL deal and the chance to stay with his girlfriend Hanna Cavinder, a star with their basketball team, were the reasons for that shift.

Cavinder and her twin sister Haley also earn a lot of money through NIL deals. In the case of Beck, he has now amassed over $10 million in earnings, whereas his girlfriend has earned millions on her own. She has millions of followers on social media and likely mint a lot of money there, too.

Usually, young athletes earning this much money means they would normally purchase items of high value. This made them target of thieves as TMZ reported earlier today that the couple became the latest to see their possessions disappear.

Cops announced Friday they’ve arrested a 20-year-old who allegedly helped steal luxury cars belonging to Univ. of Miami stars Carson Beck and Hanna Cavinder earlier this week.

TMZ reported

20-year-old Tykwon Anderson and three of his associates stole three luxury cars owned by the couple. A Lamborghini Urus SUV, a Mercedes Benz and a Range Rover went missing. The four broke into their home on Thursday, nabbed the keys and drove off.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrested Anderson after tracing down the vehicle he used to reach the Hurricanes star couple’s residence. They charged him with felony grand theft and felony burglary of an occupied dwelling while masked.

Two of the vehicles have been recovered, but the Lamborghini Urus is still missing. This is another in the long line of burglaries NFL and NBA stars have faced this past year. However, the arrested in Beck’s case is not the same as those who were part of the other thefts.

Carson Beck has tough task next season with Miami Hurricanes

In the era where NIL deals dictate where college athletes play, Carson Beck has earned himself a pretty penny by moving to the Miami Hurricanes. He will have both his finances and his personal life in check as he looks towards his first season with his new teammates.

The 22-year-old has two CFP National Championships to his name. But he did not play a major part in either of them. Rather, he was a starter for the last two seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs. He could not help them get past the Orange Bowl and then the Sugar Bowl in back-to-back seasons.

Now, he comes into the Miami Hurricanes replacing NFL bound Cam Ward. His predecessor is touted to be a top 3 draft pick this summer but could not lead the Hurricanes to a good record this season. Carson Beck will be tasked to lead the team to a better standing.

However, Hurricanes fans should be wary of how Hanna Cavinder’s time with the program has gone. After reaching the Elite Eight game in their first season with the team, the program has deteriorated. Now they are one of the worst teams in the ACC. Those paying Carson Beck $4 million hope he does better than that.
