Miami Open 2021: Federer, Nadal and Djokovic included in Men’s Singles Top Seeds
Miami Open got canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament had historically been held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, Florida from 1987 through 2018, before moving to Miami Gardens in 2019.
As an ATP Tour Masters 1000 event, the tournament is worth up to 1000 ATP Rankings points to the singles and doubles champions. On both the ATP and the WTA, this is one of the highest level of events.
Besides the four Major championships, the Miami Open is one of a small number of events on the ATP and WTA tours where the main singles draw (for both the men and the women) involves more than 64 players, and where main-draw play extends beyond one week. 96 men and 96 women compete in the singles competition.

Novak Djokovic is the top seed in this tournament. He had a phenomenal run in the Australian Open 2021, He took the singles grand-slam home. He is the World No.1 and as of right now he is untouchable in terms of ATP points.
The second seed Rafael Nadal had a disappointing run being outmatched by Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. Tsitsipas happens to be the sixth seed in this tournament. Daniil Medvedev reached the finals of the same tournament but was not able to win the title.
