After Week 1, the Dallas Cowboys appeared to be one of the top teams in the NFL. However, two weeks later, the Cowboys have gone into a downward spiral losing two home games in a row.
Although the Cowboys fought back to make Sunday’s score respectable against the Baltimore Ravens, the first three quarters were troubling. Meanwhile, the Ravens built a 28-6 lead through three quarters and managed to fend off a late Cowboys comeback, securing a 28-25 victory to avoid a 0-3 start.
However, defensive end Micah Parsons is still holding on to a glimmer of hope. Speaking on The Edge podcast, Parsons said that the losses have been humbling. He also said that he still believed that his defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer could put things right again.
I would say the start of the season has been extremely humbling. We fell short after not starting great, didn’t put ourselves in the best situations. I would still say I’m still positive because everyone is still coming in, Zim, we’re going to get better. We’re going to keep learning. We’re going to keep growing.Micah Parsons said via The Edge
The Cowboys haven’t got time to reflect on their loss to Baltimore, however. They face the Giants on Thursday before heading up to Pittsburgh and hosting the Lions ahead of their Week 7 bye. The clock is ticking on this team’s progress improvement, as Parsons hopes for it to show.
Micah Parsons addresses Dak Prescott’s jump-off comment
On Monday’s episode of his podcast ‘The Edge’, Micah Parsons also addressed quarterback Dak Prescott’s comment to fans. He revealed that Prescott had said the same thing to them during practice. Prescott seemed to be bitten on edge with the news following the QB yelling at his wide receiver went viral.
He said the same thing to the guys, right? 'Jump off if you want to.' I have full belief in this guy.Like I said man, I know what he's been through – the triumphs, the trials and tribulations, look where he's at now.Parsons said
Parsons added that he believes Prescott will overcome this situation. Furthermore, he said that Prescott is way more than what this situation has forced him to be.
The historic deals have done nothing to help the Cowboys and it is showing. They haven’t been able to build a roster, thanks to only signing one player in free agency. The offensive line is worrisome, relying on rookies which has held back the team and Prescott as they fail to block passes and avoid sacks.
