The Dallas Cowboys’ offseason continues to be like the Bermuda Triangle, as many theories unfurl every day with no clarity. Despite being close to the second week of preseason, the contract situation revolving around linebacker Micah Parsons is yet to reach a conclusion.
The linebacker, entering the fifth year of his contract, requested a trade in early August after shunted developments in his contract extension talks. The linebacker alleged that the management disrespected him and disregarded his agent, David Mulugheta, in the talks that have reached nowhere.
The dramatic nature of the whole camaraderie has many fans theorizing multiple trades. As a four-time Pro Bowler and a former DROY with two First-Team All-Pro mentions, Parsons is a threat teams would want in their squad rather than facing him. So do the fans.
A popular NFL fan posted on their X feed that they had heard rumors that the Green Bay Packers have sent a serious offer to bring in Parsons. The fan added their own thoughts by mentioning that they don’t think this would happen. There are several fans, as well as players themselves, who think that Parsons might not be traded like Chris Jones of the Chiefs.
Anyway, the Packers rumors were shut down with a bunch of laughing emojis by the linebacker’s brother, Terrence Parsons Jr.

Is Terrence Parsons’ shade at Jerry Jones a subtle hint to the dilemma
Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager, is not the favorite person in the Parsons household. And for obvious reasons, at least for the time being.

Terrence Parsons, who’s quite active on social media, has thrown shade at Jerry Jones earlier with a repost. The linebacker’s brother had reposted a video of Jerry Jones allegedly saying that controversies are good stuff. However, the ambiguous nature of the video and the captions might suggest that Jones might end up signing Micah Parsons at the very end, creating huge buzz.

Jerry Jones, being accused of creating unnecessary drama, is not happening for the first time. Chris Broussard alluded to the fact when he was listing down the reasons why he thought Parsons had not been signed yet.
He loves the drama. And I have been saying, but now it seems crystal clear. The number one goal is not winning a Super Bowl…The number one goal is to create drama because the drama keeps the Cowboys on the lips of all the TV and radio talking heads.

Flash forward to a recent incident, a former Super Bowl champion, Chris Canty, also alleged that the Dallas Cowboys primarily play to create entertainment.
The Dallas Cowboys are for entertainment purposes only. Before the Cowboys come on the TV, before we see their games, you know, when they show the NFL branding, they need to have a warning label come on the TV screen.

The Dallas Cowboys are the most valued team in the world, the only one with a valuation over $10 billion. The valuation didn’t come easy; they built a brand revolving around leisure and non-stop entertainment. Jerry Jones and the management know that being on top of the media and headlines is crucial for their business developments and profits.
Jones had created a similar atmosphere last year with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. Although they ultimately signed the highest deal for their positions, the offseason was equally buzzing. The trade request and the lateness might be the incinerator for engagement, according to Jones. And it might be working. After all, Broussard was speaking about the Cowboys in mid-July, and they seem to take the headlines even halfway through August.
