Micah Parsons unintentionally dropped a bomb on the internet after being asked about his head coach Mike McCarthy’s future in Dallas, following their fourth consecutive loss. Unlike owner Jerry Jones, the star pass rusher did not express the same level of confidence in his head coach, and in an attempt to stay neutral on the subject, he stirred up a controversy.
Given how the season has panned out, head coach McCarthy has been kept on the hot seat even though Jones has been adamant about not firing him midseason.
That’s above my pay grade if Mike’s coach again next year. All coaching aside, Mike can leave and go where he wants to. Guys I kind of feel bad for is guys like Zack Martin and guys who might be on their last year, on their way out, because that’s who I wanted to hold the trophy for.
Micah Parson said in the post-game interview
This is a quote from Cowboys DE Micah Parsons that will need a LOT of explaining going into the week, because if it’s as damning as it sounds…then YIKES.

Q: What do you tell people who are wondering if Mike McCarthy will be your coach next year?
A: That’s above my pay grade… pic.twitter.com/PwJK7GbTT3
The All-Pro linebacker also claimed that the football guard Martin and his teammates put in more “work than Mike McCarthy ever did.” That’s why, he feels more sympathetic towards his teammates for the losing season instead of thinking of head coach McCarthy’s future.
I will be addressing this today ! @brgridiron @BleacherReport time for truth and real facts!! Tune into the edge today!

Parsons addressed the ongoing controversy on his statements about McCarthy, claiming they are taken out of context, and shared his plan to discuss the matter properly on his podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons.
Jerry Jones promises thorough review of Cowboys’ disappointing season
Although the Cowboys are not officially out of the playoff race, their hopes of having a comeback collapsed with star quarterback Dak Prescott’s hamstring injury. The Week 10 loss against the Eagles was the first game without him, and it ended miserably.
Meanwhile, Prescott has been declared out of the season as he is expected to undergo surgery next Wednesday.

Recognizing the difficult season, 82-year-old Jones assured fans that he would thoroughly analyze the season to identify the mistakes made by America’s team. Although he has stated he won’t fire McCarthy midseason, he may be open to the idea in the offseason.
The Cowboys are coming off a disastrous loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, which dropped them to a 3-6 record. An upcoming couple of weeks wouldn’t be easy on Dallas as they are scheduled to face off against the Houston Texas and the Washington Commanders.
