When Micah Parsons began talking about the best quarterback on his The Edge With Micah Parsons podcast, everyone expected him to endorse his teammate, quarterback Dak Prescott. But the star linebacker shocked all ears by naming Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals as the ‘best quarterback’ in the league.

After being eliminated from playoff contention, the Dallas Cowboys are hoping to conclude the season with some pride, marking a two-game winning streak. However, the star linebacker is still not over the game, which got them eliminated with a humiliating loss at the hands of the Bengals.

During the latest edition of his podcast, Parsons couldn’t help but applauded their Week 14 opposing quarterback, who gave a 369 yards and three-touchdown performance in the Bengals’ 27-20 victory. While appreciating him, the Cowboys linebacker went a little overboard and labeled Burrow as the best quarterback in the NFL, instead of his Prescott.

This version of Joe Burrow is the best quarterback in the NFL. This healthy Joe Burrow, the anticipation, his IQ… If you talk about who’s playing the best quarterback football right now, Joe Shiesty. He’s the best quarterback in the NFL.

Micah Parsons said

Despite the Bengals losing 7-8 season, quarterback Burrow has been phenomenal with a consistent performance that accumulated the highest yardage and touchdown count in the league at 4,229 and 39 respectively.

Joe Burrow maintains positive outlook despite limited practice

After how the 2023 season ended for the Bengals, the Pro Bowl signal-caller had high expectations from this season. While he was listed for limited practice ahead of the game against the Denver Broncos, he assured fans that his wrist injury had recovered completely, as if it had never happened in the first place.

I don’t think about it a ton right now. I think we’re pretty much past it. There are still arm care and things that I do to help with that, but we’re in a good spot.

And after looking at his stats, he certainly upheld his promise to silence his critics, even though his team failed him. As they stand with a 7-8 record, they have little hope left to secure a playoff berth if even they secure wins in the remaining two games of the season.
