Michael Cole is one of the most recognizable faces in WWE. He has called some of the promotion’s most iconic moments, and there is a reason why he is known as the Voice of WWE. It appears that not only does he plan to continue his tenure staying with the Stamford-based promotion, but he may also be bound by law.

During a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s podcast, Impaulsive, Cole confirmed that he had eight more years left on his contract. In fact, he had only signed a deal with the company in the spring of last year. He has been a mainstay with WWE for nearly 30 years now, first joining them in 1997.

Michael Cole has had a highly up-and-down career in WWE. In fact, he is often referred to as one of the promotion’s most obnoxious personalities during his heel run in 2011. His WrestleMania match against Jerry Lawler is also referred to as one of the worst of all time. Many were not a fan of his commentary during the 2010s.

Cole cannot be blamed too much for his shortcomings, however. He had to deal with many of Vince McMahon‘s outlandish rules while commentating. It is worth mentioning that the Voice of WWE has significantly improved since those days. He even receives a lot of backstage praise for his segments in recent times.

Michael Cole addresses the drama regarding Corey Graves

After Raw shifted to Netflix, WWE made some notable changes to their commentary panels. Pat McAfee returned to the company and joined Michael Cole on Raw. Meanwhile, Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore were shifted to SmackDown. This left Corey Graves with nowhere to go, and he was moved down to NXT.

After this situation, Corey Graves penned down his thoughts on X, expressing his frustrations about being replaced by someone just because they were more popular. During the same appearance on Impaulsive, Cole revealed that the former NXT superstar justified this fiasco by saying that he only posted that to generate some interest. However, the company didn’t see it that way.

He tried to explain to everyone that he was trying to generate some interest and maybe type up a storyline. I don’t think the company saw it that way. I think him and the company are working that out. I love Corey to death.

This post by Graves was not planned by the promotion in any manner. He was currently in the process of working things out with the company. Regardless of this situation, Cole showered plenty of praise on his fellow commentary partner. In fact, he even said that the 40-year-old was the best partner that he ever had after Pat McAfee.
