Michael Irvin fires back at Micah Parsons over 49ers comments: “I’d rather you not say that”
Cowboys legendary running back Michael Irvin wasn't happy to see Micah Parsons taunting the 49ers for losing players in free agency.

Micah Parsons never stays away from the news, even when the NFL is on a break. The Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher was handed a reality check by Hall of Fame running back Michael Irvin for taunting the San Francisco 49ers business in the free agency, considering the 25-year-old is on the verge of a contract extension.
The 49ers lost several players on the first few days of free agency. Safety Talanoa Hufanga, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, cornerback Charvarius Ward, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, and defensive end Leonard Floyd will play on a different team in 2025.
Parsons, similar to many others, was shocked to see the 49ers losing so many players. Football players always dream of seeing their rivals become weak so that they can take advantage when they meet on gameday.
In the case of the 49ers, they had to cut a few players to recoup some money to ease the burden on the cap space. They are currently negotiating a big deal with quarterback Brock Purdy. As per Spotrac, Purdy could earn up to $50 million a year through the extension.
No more rookie QBs lol welcome to reality!

Micah Parsons receives a scolding from Michael Irvin for taking a dig at 49ers
Michael Irvin came across Parsons’ tweet on the 49ers, and it’s fair to assume he wasn’t too happy about it because Parsons has never defeated the Niners in four attempts, including two playoff games.
You couldn’t beat them on the football field, so don’t come here and start throwing things out now, saying ‘Ah ha, y’all finally going to break up’ … I’d rather you not say that.
Michael Irvin said about Micah Parsons in a recent segment of FS1’s Speak

The Cowboys all-time rushing yards leader told Parsons to look at his own team’s situation before talking about another.
It’s reality… And Micah knows that because he probably would have his deal done already if he didn’t have Dak Prescott.

Parsons is waiting for a new deal
Irvin hit a bullseye. If the Cowboys didn’t need to pay quarterback Dak Prescott $60 million a year and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb $30 million a year, then Parsons would have signed his contract by now.
It’s good, you know? It was good. I really have a lot of respect for Jerry [Jones]. We have great conversations all the time. There’s definitely a plan in place, but we’ll just see how everything plays out. There’s been no progress yet, but I’m pretty confident that something will happen, so we’ll see.
Micah Parsons said in February after speaking with owner Jerry Jones
Parsons is still on his rookie contract, which is set to end in a few months. On top of it, he saw Myles Garrett receive a four-year, $160 million ($40 million/year) deal from the Cleveland Browns, becoming the highest-earning football player besides a quarterback.
Lol yooo wtf 😂

However, Garrett had to work for it. The former DPOY even asked for a trade to a contender to force the money out of the Browns. Parsons said he will not use such a tactic in his case.
No, I don’t plan on following suit. As long as you know I get a deal done, I think I’ll be pretty happy.

And Micah Parsons has made it simple…he doesn’t plan on requesting a trade from the Cowboys as long as he gets his money.

Before the Super Bowl, Parsons revealed that he was very sure that his contract would reset the market. The Cowboys must match Garrett or better in order to set the market, but with a $46.8 million cap space for 2025 and several other players also to pay, Parsons may find it hard to get his desired money.
