In the same conversation, the billionaire athlete also admitted that he would have signed a settlement deal with NASCAR if he was offered the right deal, before the trial started.
During a break after opening statements, Jordan told Bloomberg Law he was ‘100%’ confident his team would win the trial after efforts to reach a settlement didn’t come through. ‘I would have settled if I thought a settlement was worthwhile.’

Kenny Wallace shares his thoughts on Michael Jordan’s heartfelt statement
In his latest YouTube video, ex-NASCAR racer Kenny Wallace shared his thoughts on the statements from the basketball legend. The legend is suing the sport because he knows he is the only one among the owners, who have more than enough resources to fight for the sport he loves.

Michael Jordan said, ‘The reason I’m suing you is because somebody had to do this.’ And and basically, now Michael didn’t say this, but Michael’s the one he’s the only one that could do it. And he said, ‘I’m doing this because I love this sport and I want to make it more like a partnership. When NASCAR does good, the team should do good.’
Kenny Wallace said.
Further talking about the point, the veteran asserted that the comments from the ex-Chicago Bull’s player was heartfelt and admitted that he isn’t mad with Jordan for the fight with NASCAR. Because he knows at the end of the day it’s the passion and love for the sport that behind the drama.
Michael Jordan’s you know what he said was heartfelt. It wasn’t bad. I wasn’t I wasn’t mad at Michael Jordan. I thought everything he said was heartfelt. He’s like I love NASCAR but y’all are taking too much and nobody’s here to call you out.
Kenny Wallace asserted.
The veteran racer highlighted how Jordan gave the exact answer NASCAR lawyers wanted, admitting how significant the sport is while also putting forward his point. The 23XI owner shared his respect and disagreement with the sport as well as it’s owners.
I got to tell you what Michael Jordan said. It was heartfelt and I liked it cuz he said, ‘I respect what NASCAR’s done.’ Butterman did say that. He’s like he wanted Michael Jordan to admit that NASCAR is the king. And Michael did. He said, ‘I love I really respect what the France family has done here, but my god, you got to share a little bit more.’ Is what Michael Jordan said.
Kenny Wallace added.
The comments from the former racer seems reasonable and shows how there is still a lot respect left despite the toxicity over the lawsuit. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for everyone involved in the coming days of the trial.
