The 2024 NASCAR season has been marked with the historic charter wars featuring Michael Jordan and the series owners the France family. The NBA legends team 23XI Racing joined hands with FRM to sue NASCAR over it’s alleged monopolistic business model, after refusing to sign the new charter deal for the 2025-2031 season.

The first part of the legal drama, the 23XI owners Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin attended a preliminary injunction hearing at Charlotte. After the procedure, the ex-NBA champion talked to the media about his feelings about the legal drama, and the current NASCAR season. His driver Tyler Reddick in the championship, chasing the title.

Jordan applauded his lawyer Jeffrey Kessler for the commendable work he did and admitted that he has put all his cars are on the table. Michael Jordan’s lawyer explains the harsh future of 23XI Racing

While talking to the media after the court hearing, Jeffrey Kessler pointed out that 23XI Racing future is really bad if they don’t win the case. He pointed out that they might lose Tyler Reddick forever if they don’t have a permeant seat for the 2025 season.

We have a potential champion who would be free to leave and we’d never get him back. This could put these teams out of business. You can’t go to a stock car team and ask them to become a Formula 1 team.
