Michael Jordan’s old stomping ground will help resume Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese rivalry
Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever will battle Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky five times this coming WNBA season.

Caitlin Clark Angel Reese to resume rivalry at United Center where Michael Jordan thrived
In their first WNBA season, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese helped transform the league’s fortunes. A prime reason was their rivalry that started off from their days in college and continued as their Eastern Conference teams battled each other four times.
Those games resulted in millions of viewers tuning in, helping the league draw in a new legion of fans. The superstars dismissed the rivalry, citing the vastly different positions they play. However, fans and the media disagreed, suggesting the rivalry is more to do with how they are as trend setters.
NBA great Magic Johnson compared the two to the rivalry he had with Larry Bird. Those two played different positions, but again their college rivalry carried that momentum into the NBA. Those battles changed the dynamic of the NBA, and now these two are doing the same for the W.
With that in mind, the WNBA decided to milk this further. No team in the league is facing another team more than four times every season. That changes as Caitlin Clark‘s Indiana Fever are scheduled to battle the Chicago Sky five times.
Last season, Clark knew this rivalry was drawing a large crowd and asked the Sky games to be moved to the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls. That has come to fruition when the Fever and Sky announced that the two games to be held in Chicago will play out at the much larger arena.
That arena can hold 20,917 fans. That is a much larger number when compared to the Chicago Sky’s Wintrust Arena, which holds just half of that. It will be fitting that the two superstars will battle out on the stomping grounds of Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player of all time.
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will have vastly improved teams battling next season
Last season, the Indiana Fever blitzed the Sky in the first game. But then, Angel Reese brought out her ‘dog’ mentality to help her team even the scores. In the final two battles, Caitlin Clark and her team were too powerful and emerged victorious.
After the first few days of this WNBA offseason, it became apparent that the Chicago Sky did not stand a chance against the superstar laden Fever. But later, they also made some moves which brought them back into playoff conversations.
Angel Reese has also shown a considering improvement in her game. If her teammates can work on that, then the Sky might give the Fever a fight. These two teams are looking to take the next step, and those five games will show how far they have progressed.
