“Soon as I said LeBron is the GOAT…” Michael Jordan’s petty move exposed by Kendrick Perkins
Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins shared an intriguing story involving LeBron James and Michael Jordan on the First Take Show.

The Stephen A. Smith–LeBron James beef was all over the First Take Show on Thursday but part of a segment was also devoted to NBA legend Michael Jordan. That’s when former NBA player Kendrick Perkins chimed in. Once the James-Smith beef topic was over on First Take, Perkins opened up on an interesting story involving Jordan and James.
This segment initially started with James’ relationship with Jordan. Perkins is a huge Jordan shoe collector, and only wears ‘J’s’ under his feet, the former NBA player claimed on First Take. However, this reminded Perkins to share a very funny story about how he made a mistake that sounds like might have cost him a lifetime of free sneakers.
MJ is petty as hell too… I wore J’s throughout the course of a few years of my time in Oklahoma City. After that I used to get boxes in the mail all the time of the J’s before they even hit the stores. I started my media career. As soon as I said that LeBron James was the GOAT those boxes stopped coming.

Given that Perkins wore Nike for practically his entire career, many NBA fans on social media questioned his stance. Nonetheless, there are photos of him playing NBA games while sporting vintage Air Jordan sneakers. But with this, the fans also believe that Jordan does take slight jabs personally.
Did Perk just say Jordan brand stop sending him merch once he said LeBron was the GOAT?

Aside from this, Perkins did target James for his podcast decisions. With JJ Redick being appointed the HC of the Los Angeles Lakers, James selected Steve Nash to replace Redick as the Mind The Game Podcast host. This did not sit well with Perkins, aiming jibes towards James’ decision.
Kendrick Perkins called out LeBron James over his recent decisions regarding the Mind The Game Podcast
A controversy was swiftly sparked by the ESPN analyst’s remarks, as Perkins questioned James’ decisions and the underlying meanings behind them. In an ESPN appearance on Thursday morning, Kendrick Perkins voiced his displeasure with LeBron James’ most recent choice: Steve Nash replacing JJ Redick as the Mind The Games Podcast host.
OK, you lose JJ Redick, and you go out and get Steve Nash. I would never question Steve Nash’s IQ or his intelligence when it comes down to the game of basketball… But Richard Jefferson just got hired on our A-Team to cover the NBA Finals, he’s smart as hell. Channing Frye, who won the championship with LeBron James, who does NBA TV, he is intelligent as hell. Phil Handy, who LeBron won two championships with, who’s now doing his own thing, he’s intelligent as hell.

Kendrick Perkins doesn’t understand why LeBron chose not to do the Mind of the Game podcast with guys like Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye, Phil Handy, or Draymond Green, and instead chose to do it with Steve Nash and JJ Redick 🤔

This did not end there as Perkins further claimed that the names mentioned above are ‘LeBron’s guys’ and questioned the Lakers star regarding his decision. However, this was Perkins’ way of subtly taking a jab at James. Redick, a white co-host was replaced by Nash, who is another white co-host.
Perkins’ analytical approach was right as he wanted black basketball figures to be on the Mind The Games and called out James for it. But the ‘King’ went against it. This matter comes down to representation and Perkins’ comments subtly take a jab toward James opting for a white basketball figure over his longtime buddies.
LeBron James made an intriguing revelation regarding Michael Jordan
Though he rarely sits down for a lengthy interview on topics related to and around the NBA, LeBron James, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers, is frequently not afraid to voice his opinions. James did exactly that on Wednesday when he appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, covering a variety of subjects. One of them is his relationship with NBA legend, Michael Jordan.
MJ doesn’t wanna talk to me until I’m done.

The Lakers star hopes to have a better bond with MJ once he calls it quits on the sport. James continued to mention Jordan as a role model without ever implying that the two had a strained relationship. In addition, James also spoke about the Stephen A. Smith beef, the Luka Doncic trade, and many more topics on the podcast.
