Michael Owen predicts a win for Chelsea against Everton

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen believes that Chelsea will be able to win against Everton in the Premier League. The London giant’s will be travelling to Goodison park to face the toffees of Merseyside this weekend. James Rodriguez of Everton is ruled out of the clash.

Michael Owen gives his prediction for Chelsea vs Everton

Chelsea are in extremely good touch this season in the League and currently sit at 3rd position right behind Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. Everton started off really well but have slightly slumped off in recent games to slide below in the points table. However with Dominic Calvert Lewin in the squad , they always have an attacking option in their artillery.

“One shining light has been the emergence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He’s continued his goal-scoring form, so Everton will still carry a big threat in front of goal. That said, with Chelsea in such good form, I can’t see anything other than an away win.”

Michael Owen acknowledged Chelsea’s quality but also said that they are in pole position to win due to Everton’s recent poor form.

Chelsea are bang in form. They are undefeated in their last 9 matches and can also boast 3 clean sheets in their last 3 away fixtures. Unfortunately, I’d have to say the opposite regarding Everton’s current form. One win in their last 7 Premier League matches is grim reading for Toffees fans, especially after such a promising start.”
