Former Milwaukee Bucks Legend Michael Reeds suggests that the reigning MVP Giannis Antetokunmpo fits perfectly with the current Miami Heat squad. There is no doubt that Giannis is one of the best players to ever enrich the sport of basketball. Not only did he win the MVP award but went onto clinch the Defensive Player of the Year, ahead of Anthony Davis.

As Giannis looks to be a part of the Bucks yet again. The franchise has been disappointing in consecutive playoff runs. So, they question till remains, will Giannis still be with the Bucks or move to a championship contender?

Reeds talks about Giannis to Miami Heat

Former Milwaukee Bucks player Michael Reed spoke to Brandon Robinson about Giannis staying with the Milwaukee Bucks. He said, “He would. They got the shooters. They got the closer in Jimmy Butler. But I think Khris could be that as Giannis continues to develop, maybe the offense is more Khris-centric in a sense because we saw what Khris can do from a closing standpoint and a playmaking standpoint.”

However, Reed noted that Khris Middleton and Jimmy Butler are similar closers for their respective team. “So Khris can be Jimmy, and Jon Horst will continue to do a great job of putting shooters around Giannis. There’s parallels there.”

Reed noted that the cultural differences between Miami and Milwaukee are stark, but Giannis could fit into the Heat culture. “The culture of Miami is different than Milwaukee but, he could fit in Miami for sure. It’s going to be tougher with that Brooklyn Nets team coming next year.”

Reed believes that Giannis moving to the Miami Heat could create severe competition in the Eastern Conference. He believes that Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets could provide competition to a potential Giannis-Heat pairing.

He said, “Hopefully it’ll be without KD’s injury, which is everything. His recovery is everything to that team but, the East is going to be tough next year again, so we’ll see how everything turns out.”

Having said that, Giannis official word is still awaited.
