In a shocking twist of events, Michelle Beadle, host of FanDuel’s Run It Back went viral after she accidentally used a racial slur on air while she discussed the Denver Nuggets. To clear the air, Beadle explained to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson that the incident was a slip of the tongue.

Furthermore, she also took to Instagram to acknowledge her mistake, where she admitted that her entire career flashed before her eyes. Beadle’s mistake had sparked widespread backlash, with some calling for her to lose her job.

I sped through a Nuggets question. And my vowels got all f*****. Then those two turds (Chandler Parsons and Lue Williams) lost it. And we laughed through the entire Denver segment. And will probably do so now for the rest of the season. I imagine an edited version is going around. Not showing the real-time viewing. And making it seem like an actual n-word and no response. Which I can’t control!

However, FanDuel termed the incident a “gaffe,” as they indicated that her position as host is secure. This incident marked a rare misstep in Beadle’s long and distinguished broadcasting career, which began in the 2000s as an intern for the San Antonio Spurs.

In the past, she had faced criticism for her comments about LeBron James and his first son, Bronny James. Michelle Beadle is known for speaking her mind. While she regretted her on-air mistake, her candid nature has been a hallmark of her career.

Michelle Beadle slams Bronny James’ historic debut

It’s not the first time that Michelle Beadle has courted controversy, as in the past she had expressed her skepticism about Bronny James’ historic NBA debut alongside his father, LeBron James. Beadle deemed the moment “manufactured,” which sparked debate about the legitimacy of Bronny’s presence in the league.

The entire day was centered around this manufactured moment of history that we finally got. If Bronny’s debut isn’t manufactured, then I don’t know what the word manufactured means. I am not impressed.

Bronny, drafted by the LA Lakers, has faced criticism for his college performance at USC, which then fueled concerns that nepotism played a role in his NBA selection. During his debut, he logged only three minutes, recorded one rebound and shot 0-for-2 from the field.

Beadle’s comments have underscored the lingering narrative which has surrounded Bronny’s NBA readiness. To silence critics, Bronny must continue to work and prove himself as a deserving player, and his being at the G League is a good place to start.
