Triple H makes shocking WWE Hall of Fame announcement [via- ESPN]
The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class just got bigger. This morning, on ESPN‘s Get Up, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque appeared live via satellite. He noted how The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels surprised him at a recent town hall meet at the WWE headquarters wherein The Game was revealed to be leading this year’s WWE HOF class.
In a déjà vu, Triple H announced that Taker’s wife, Michelle McCool, will also be receiving the same honor at the upcoming Hall of Fame ceremony. That said, McCool has become the first female inductee in a half-baked HOF class of 2025. Speaking of how she reacted to it, the 45-year-old was reduced to tears of joy as soon as she heard about it.
The All-American Diva hugged her husband standing beside her. The Deadman’s wife hilariously claimed that it felt like a joke on him considering his joint executive decision with Michaels to confer Levesque with the honor previously. Paul continued saying that McCool’s induction had been long overdue.
Moreover, The Cerebral Assassin applauded the semi-retired female grappler for being a trailblazer in terms of bringing athleticism to the women’s division.Levesque later took to X and congratulated her co-HOF inductee for epitomizing a career that was dedicated to breaking down barriers and flawless performances.
Michelle is a multi-time WWE Women’s Champion and hasn’t stopped wrestling sporadically ever since stepping away from the ring on a full-time basis in 2011. Most recently, the former LayCool member competed in the 2023 women’s Royal Rumble match. There were rumors of her coming back as a surprise entrant this year. But it didn’t happen. Hopefully she has some more gas left in the tank.
How did Stephanie McMahon react to Triple H’s WWE HOF induction?
As alluded to above, Triple H was completely caught off guard by learning about his impromptu WWE HOF induction. But what’s even more heartwarming is how his wife, Stephanie McMahon, reacted to it.
She was in the gorilla position while The Game went awestruck on stage in front of several WWE employees. Upon being compelled to do so by a number of backstage figures, Steph went out and made a beeline for the 14-time World Champion.
They hugged in what was one of the most special moments of their lives. WWE even uploaded a vlog of it on YouTube where The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels admitted that they didn’t tell anything to McMahon in advance, fearing that she’d spill the beans.
