Michy Batshuayi returns to Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have signed striker Michy Batshuayi on a season-long loan from Chelsea with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the period.
The 26-year-old, who struggled for playing time under Frank Lampard, has also extended his contract with Chelsea till 2022. Crystal Palace have an option to buy for an unspecified fee.
In 2020-2021, Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham were Frank Lampard’s first choice forwards, with Batshuayi playing only for 226 minutes.
Batshuayi returns to Crystal Palace
The Belgian international went to Crystal Palace first in 2018/19 season, redeeming himself after a torrid time at spanish club, Valencia. He scored 5 goals in 11 matches at Selhurst Park.
“I feel like I’m home now, so it’s good. But I need to do a good season here, to work a lot with my teammates and I want to do my best here,” he said
“It’s not my first time here. I know the teammates, I know the gaffer, I know how the club works here. For me, it’s the best decision. I’m happy, the coach is happy, my teammates are happy. Let’s get to work.”
