WWE pulled off something unprecedented to cap off its Elimination Chamber PLE earlier this month. In the dying moments, the Babe Ruth of WWE, John Cena, turned heel by kicking Cody Rhodes in the nuts at The Rock‘s behest. While it has certainly altered the landscape of WWE, the industry pundits continue to pour in their reactions.

The latest addition to that list is Mick Foley. He was recently a guest on the Busted Open Radio podcast. The Hardcore Legend lauded Cena particularly for the sudden change in his facial expressions once he hugged Rhodes and looked over to Dwayne Johnson. Foley deemed it priceless and claimed it’d go down in the wrestling folklore as an all-time moment.

Mick credited John’s Hollywood career for the fluctuating demeanor he sported during the entire segment. The WWE Hall of Famer emphasized that Cena’s countenance was on point for someone who had just sold out, and it needed to be the exact way. By the looks, Mr. Foley is all but impressed with how John’s WWE heel turn played out.

That look on Cena’s face? Oh, that was priceless. I think that’s where Hollywood has really served him well because it wasn’t an overblown reaction………….

WWE has also released some new merchandise centered around The Cenation Leader. It’s reminiscent of the 47-year-old’s Dr. of Thuganomics gimmick when he used to wear a distinctive neck chain. It’s also worth noting that Cena was a heel while playing within the confines of his then-theme music – Word Life.

For the unversed, that three-year-run kept John from getting axed by WWE. The Peacemaker star has repeatedly thanked former WWE Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon on record for once eavesdropping on his freestyling and eventually saving his career.

John Cena’s WWE return set for Raw in Belgium

Next week on Raw in Brussels, John Cena will make his first WWE appearance since stooping to the lows he did at Elimination Chamber. The man he went low on, Cody Rhodes, will also be under the same roof. The fans are anticipating a faceoff between these two to clear up the air.

After brutalizing Rhodes in Toronto, John is due for an explanation. Regardless of whether Cena does tell his side of the story or refuses to do so, the WWE Universe is in for a ride. He won this year’s Elimination Chamber match by making CM Punk pass out.

Consequently, The Franchise Player will receive a shot at Cody’s Undisputed WWE title at WrestleMania 41. However, there’s still over a month to get to that point. The much-awaited Cena/Rhodes promo is only adding to the excitement of those who are invested in the story.

On Raw at MSG, The American Nightmare slammed Cena for continuing to put out motivational quotes on X. Rhodes said he begrudges how he could do that when Cena has already given up on the principles that made him a fan-favorite. Rhodes is looking forward to the unfortunate privilege of stopping his former idol from becoming a 17-time world champion at WrestleMania 41.

Did Travis Scott’s involvement dilute the aftermath of John Cena’s heel turn?

When moguls like The Rock and John Cena dip their toes in something, one isn’t expected to digress from them. But it has indeed happened for a change. Apart from those two men joining forces, there was a third cog in the wheel as well at Elimination Chamber.

He’s none other than Travis Scott, who’s been hogging the limelight since the PLE. The spotlight on Scott is for allegedly rupturing Rhodes’ eardrum. The rapper made a reckless swing at the 39-year-old’s face, leaving the WWE Champion with a black eye.

Former tag team specialist Bully Ray has called for Travis’ jaw to be shattered by Cody the next time they meet. La Flame has indeed disgruntled a number of backstage figures in WWE by the physical harm he caused to the company’s top babyface.
