A few days ago, Mick Foley announced that he was severing ties with WWE owing to the company’s relationship with Donald Trump. ‘The Hardcore Legend’ expressed heavy dissatisfaction with the unjust immigration crackdown policies levied by the Trump administration and slammed the US President for his highly insensitive remarks bemoaning Rob Reiner‘s tragic murder.

It was the final straw in letting Foley decide he wouldn’t condone representing WWE, an organization that coddles a man who’s devoid of compassion, and affirmed that Trump is steering the country toward autocracy.

Foley’s longtime friend and wrestling contemporary Glenn “Kane” Jacobs has reacted to the former Raw GM’s decision to step away from WWE. Jacobs, who’s the incumbent Knox County mayor, told Newsmax that he and Foley have always managed to keep their political debates civil.

‘The Big Red Machine’ wished he could have had some of those discussions with the erstwhile Mankind on public platforms. Jacobs mentioned the freedom of speech in the US.

While he understood that Foley was entitled to his opinions, the Republican politician said that the former Cactus Jack was wrong. Jacobs, who’s best known to wrestling fans as Kane, had previously endorsed Trump in last year’s presidential elections alongside his kayfabe half-brother Mark Callaway, aka The Undertaker.

Speaking of Mick Foley and his primary issue with WWE, viz., the promotion’s bolstering ties with Trump, they’re getting more apparent day by day.

Yesterday, the White House released exclusive footage via its X account in which WWE CCO Triple H could be seen sharing health tips for people to stay healthy during this holiday season and for the entire year. The video also included a physical activity recommendation from golfer Bryson DeChambeau.

Kevin Nash is not dumping WWE like Mick Foley over political differences

With the debate of political integration in pro wrestling picking up steam of late, more and more wrestlers are setting the record straight on their personal stances. After Mick Foley’s recent act of parting ways with WWE, one of his other friends from the business, Kevin Nash, has also opened up on whether he’s going to follow suit.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, the WWE HOFer understood where Foley was coming from in regard to his decision not to represent the company any longer.

However, when it came to himself, Nash explained why he couldn’t afford to let any political differences get in the way of his healthy relationship with the McMahon family. ‘Big Daddy Cool’ revealed he and Triple H were road travel buddies for a year and a half during their Kliq days.

Nash was also one of Hunter’s best men at his wedding to Stephanie McMahon. ‘The Big Sexy’ also talked about the time Linda McMahon took his wife out for a day on her first visit to New York City while Nash was busy shooting a commercial. The former Diesel said he will always be grateful to McMahon for making the time to be with his wife, as she was pretty nervous back then.

In essence, the McMahons and Levesque are a family to Nash. He also recalled one incident where he and Linda bumped into each other at the Barclays Center. McMahon, who serves as the US Secretary of Education in the Donald Trump administration, mocked the former nWo member for his libertarian ideology before they shared a warm hug. Nash later took to X to elaborate on his stance.

The 66-year-old emphasized that he isn’t craving money at this stage of his life, but he does need valuable friendships, which began almost three decades ago with the formation of the stable known as The Kliq.

Nash said every member from that group pledged to have each other’s back, and after losing Scott Hall a few years ago, ‘The Giant Killa’ affirmed he wouldn’t let anything get in between himself and the rest of his three friends, viz., Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and X-Pac.
