Jiri Prochazka comes off a spectacular KO victory over Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 earlier this month in Los Angeles, California. But the former UFC 205-pound champion may have done more than his part in the preparation. A not-so-long-ago UFC middleweight aspirant, the Czech fighter hydrated down more than he should have!

Jiri Prochazka is as unpredictable as they come outside as well as inside the bounds of the octagon. But the Czech contender keeps himself bound to a routine even in his weird training methods. Speaking on the JRE Podcast, Prochazka revealed that he accidentally spent two hours in the sauna before the official UFC 311 PPV weigh-ins. It dropped him five pounds more than was what required.

I thought I would do my best when I went to the sauna the night before the weigh in. I switched myself in the sauna and was there for likes two hours, …I tried to hide myself before the other guys [weighed in] and drank water.

After this backseat driving on his fight stance, Prochazka lost his zen, and things were bound to get weird. Nevertheless, leave it to the Czech fighter to make it weird himself! But it’s nothing “BJP” could not handle along with his corner.

Official listings from California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) executive director Andy Foster made it look like Prochazka was edging down towards a middleweight margin. But he managed just fine. Prochazka ultimately weighed in at 204.5 pounds for UFC 311’s early weigh-ins and only rehydrated to 208 pounds on fight night.

Hill, on the other hand, weighed in at 205.5 pounds before hydrating at 221.8. It was quite a gap, but the ‘Samurai’ did defeat him. He ended the thrilling scrap via TKO (strikes) – 3:01 mark – round 3 of the UFC 311 bout. Consequently, this isn’t the only awkward thing middleweight-gunning eerie Jiri has done in a while.

Jiri Prochazka’s UFC 311 ‘one time, band camp’ possible queer moment goes viral

Under most circumstances, one would fear and veer the TBC way. One would hide behind innuendos to be super spunky, but not Jiri Prochazka. The one-of-a-kind UFC light heavyweight star from Czech Republic is a straight shooter and he keeps to it.

Prochazka won an extra $50,000 bonus for his UFC 311 bout. However, in a post-fight instance with roving reporter Megan Olivi, the fighter went viral for his crass after-party plans. Procahzka hinted he’d bring two of his comrades to his hotel room, party, and see where ‘the night takes them.’ It is not something a ‘straight’ edge fighter usually goes by.

It rapidly went viral that the sword dueling, 61-duel “Kensei” and philosopher Miyamoto Musashi-disciple was in fact “curious and queer”. So, in another super awkward moment (H/T @mmamarcuss on social media) he had to clarify that he didn’t roll that way.

Everybody’s parties … look like … something … we are really … again … it sounds like … weird … so … it doesn’t matter for me…I wanna clarify the interview after the fight. I said something like, we will celebrate with the guys in the room and all these things…Just to be sure, everyone, I’m a straight man.

Or does he actually roll that way? It “really … again … it sounds like … weird” is all that he parties with two friends from the Czech Republic. Prochazka has had history-making faceoffs with other stoic fighters. He had fallen victim to USADA’s test pool because of his buff stature. But make no mistake – it’s only Prchazka that can stretch a weird this far. It’s like they say – “manliness is important; English is important-er!
