UFC veterans Yoel “The Soldier of God” Romero and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson have now found a new home in Bellator MMA. And, now it looks like the two might be facing-off anytime soon, since Yoel Romero is expected to make his debut at 205lbs (light heavyweight).

According to Yoel Romero, (via. his translator) there is a huge possibility that he will be making his debut with Anthony Johnson. Speaking in an episode of Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, the Cuban said that there was a 90 percent chance for it to happen.

Yoel Romero (via his translator) was quoted as saying, “To throw a name out there right now is pure speculation… but there’s a huge possibility, 90% chance that Anthony Johnson will be the first one to face Yoel Romero.”

Yoel Romero last fought Israel Adesanya, earlier this year in the UFC – a match which was an absolute snooze fest, he eventually lost the match via. unanimous decision. Age must have been a defining factor in his release from the UFC, as the ever fit Cuban is 43 years old, right now. Anthony Johnson, on the other hand, last fought almost 45 months ago, against Daniel Cormier, losing to him via submission and immediately announcing his retirement in the aftermath from all combat sports. But, the hard hitting American, decided to come back in the month of August, in 2019 when he announced that he would be re-entering the USADA testing pool. And, here we are now!
