In an Instagram post, Miguel Rojas hinted “It’s time” as he leaves his beloved jersey No. 11, which he has worn for two years behind. In MLB a rookie player usually starts with a bigger number and climbs down to a lower one.

But in this case, the Dodgers shortstop will be going back to his old number which he started with for the LA Dodgers. Roki Sasaki will get to wear the same jersey number as his idol Yu Darvish in the upcoming season.

Rojas could also have taken No. 19 as he wore that with the Miami Marlins but that number has been retired by the Dodgers for Jim Gilliam. Furthermore, Sasaki could have chosen No. 17 but it is already occupied by the team’s two-way star player Shohei Ohtani.

A change is coming in LA not only for the jersey swap but also roster-wise. The 2025 lineup of the team will be deadly as the team packed its lineup with top star players from the league and the international market. They may even be able to defend their WS title in 2025.

Roki Sasaki and Tanner Scott’s sign-up with the Dodgers shock the MLB world

While many expected Roki Sasaki to join the Los Angeles Dodgers no one thought of pitcher Tanner Scott to be joining the ranks. He recently signed up with the team for a 4 year $72 million deal.

With Scott and Sasaki joining the 2025 roster, the team is being called overpowered. Many believe there should be some restrictions in place for arbitration and payroll distribution as the top teams easily snatch high-end players from the market.

Especially the Dodgers as they present a lethal lineup of pitchers including – Sasaki, Scott, Ohtani, Yamamoto, Blake Snell, and Tyler Glasnow. It’ll be interesting to see if they get to keep their World Series crown or if someone dethrones them.
