Ski queen Mikaela Shiffrin celebrates the 2024 Paris Games with sprinter Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone as she posts, “Like I said…QUEEN. Literally. ?” on social media. She was seen cheering on Team USA at the Stade de France and later posted a selfie with the Women’s 400m hurdles race gold winner.
Shiffrin even said that she’s an “Official Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone fan club” member as posted by ‘On Her Turf’ on Instagram. Fans were seen celebrating her iconic picture with the gold medal winner on various social media platforms.
Mikaela Shiffrin further spoke about her takes from the 2024 Olympic Games and what she learned and felt after watching all the female athletes perform in one of the most decorated stages. She mentioned 11x Olympian Simone Biles and how she overcame her hurdles one after another on the world stage.

She speaks about how tough it is to sometimes be a public figure and to get judged by the public in positive and negative ways. Simone Biles also mentioned how she’s been focusing on mental health a lot after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics incident.
Prioritizing mental health has now been an open topic for discussion among athletes who are continuously carrying expectations and duties on their shoulders. Many Olympians spoke on how important focusing on oneself is, including GOAT Michael Phelps.
Mikaela Shiffrin takes inspiration from Summer Olympics to 2026 Winter Games in Milano Cortina
Mikaela Shiffrin talked about how she is feeling motivated and inspired after watching all these athletes compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics. She said she has lots she wishes to carry for her performance at the 2026 Winter Games in Milano Cortina. Especially getting to witness the events first-hand after the tough COVID-19 situation has been inspiring for the ski star.
She expresses how tough it was during the COVID situation where athletes had to compete without the boisterous fans in the stands. “It was just incredible to watch” she added.

Just like Biles who has overcome failures and created success, Shiffrin is no stranger to these feelings. She noted that it’s important to remember, “You can fail and not be a failure.”
She said that she has learned a lot from Biles and one of her takeaways is “it’s not the end of the world” no matter what you go through. Shiffrin is now looking forward to adding all the motivation, positivity, and resilience she learned from the Paris Games to her 2026 performance.
