Well, if Mike McCarthy had three wishes, he would use one to take back his moment of frustration during the Week 9 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He would probably use the remaining two to make sure everyone forgets.

With each passing week, the Dallas Cowboys’ situation is deteriorating but this week brought an additional setback when star quarterback Dak Prescott sustained a serious injury and sitting out next week’s game. But another moment from the game made quite the headlines after the head coach McCarthy was seen slamming his tablet following a failed fourth down play.

I’m embarrassed by it. It’s something that at my age, clearly there is no excuse for. That’s not what I represent. I’m embarrassed as the leader of this team. That was definitely a moment that I wish I had back.

Considering how the Cowboys’ season is panning out after last season’s successful run till the playoffs, it was rather foreseeable for McCarthy to have his breaking point. However, he considers it unacceptable especially because of his age believing he is too old to throw tantrums.

After the poor loss in the playoffs last season, head coach McCarthy had to endure most of the criticism with many demanding his exit. However, owner Jerry Jones believed in his leadership and continued another season run with him. Unfortunately, the team is sitting at 3-5 with a three-game losing streak

We’re making too many self-inflicted wounds,The disappointing part about it is some of the pre-snap penalties are totally unacceptable. We came in here wanting to go no-huddle, up-tempo, turbo-on-the-ball type of things. You see in the first series, it was effective, and I wish we got more to it.

With quarterback Prescott– who was considered the Cowboys’ only hope for salvation this season, also on the injury reserve, the team’s upcoming three weeks are not going to be easy as they are up against NFL teams with winning records. All hopes for now are upon the shoulders of backup quarterback Cooper Rush.
