Mike Tyson was the biggest name in the boxing world in the 1980s and 1990s. With his ferocious power, Tyson wreaked havoc in the boxing world and became a household name in the world. Not as famous as Tyson, Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs was another boxer known for incredible punching power.
Even though both are in their fifties, they have exhibition boxing fights lined up in 2024. Tyson will take on the much younger Jake Paul in August, live-streamed on Netflix. Briggs’ opponent is the relatively younger Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, possibly in Qatar. Interestingly, Tyson and Briggs had a friendly sparring session in the streets of Brownsville, which Tyson shared on his Instagram.

In the video, Tyson and Briggs embraced after they hilarious sparred. The video ended as Briggs shouted his signature catchphrase, ‘Let’s go, champ.’ Even though both are in their 50s, they look in shape relative to their age. One could say Tyson moved better than many in their 50s.
For the Jake Paul fight, Tyson is not the favorite. However, many believe Tyson has a good chance to knock out Paul. On the other hand, Shannon Briggs is a betting favorite against Rampage Jackson. Nevertheless, fans eagerly anticipate both fights in this already stacked year for combat sports.
Ryan Garcia reacts to Mike Tyson’s brawl video
Ryan Garcia had already created a mess before his anticipated fight against Devin Haney. He missed weight for the fight by a lot. Moreover, he showed no remorse as he chucked in beer after the weigh-ins. However, that did not stop Garcia from commenting on Mike Tyson’s Instagram video.

Garcia is a good friend of Tyson and has even appeared on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast. Tyson was also there when Garcia fought Gervonta Davis. However, Tyson leaned toward Davis in his fight prediction for an ESPN interview and was right. Nevertheless, Garcia’s comment on Tyson’s Instagram video surprised many.

Of all the comments in the video, Garcia’s comment got the most replies. As expected, most of the replies trolled Garcia. It was not a surprise, considering the mess Garcia created ahead of his fight against Haney. Due to weight miss, Garcia would not be able to win the title, and he would also have to pay a percentage of his fight purse to Haney in addition to the $1.5 million for the weight miss.
