“No one liked me,” Mike Tyson spills truth about losing virginity and being ‘late-starter’ in s*x life
Boxing icon Mike Tyson, who is up for a November Netflix lineup, tells tales about the man he was before the "Baddest Man."

Nicknamed “Iron Mike” and “Kid Dynamite” in his early career, also “Baddest Man on the Planet” – Mike Tyson needs no intro. Tyson was the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world from 1987 to 1990. However, not much about his personal life was known at that time. The background of his biological parents and his early childhood remains unknown.
Chronicles about the boxer since then are full of snippets of him as a smooth talker or a turbulent domestic character. His high-profile marriage with Robin Givens might give off a different impression of the boxer’s personal life. However, the boxer himself says his teen years were rather as an unpopular loner. Tyson called himself a ‘late starter’ in terms of losing virginity.
You know, um…I didn't, um,…I didn't have s*x… I, …I wasn't one of those guys. I didn't have s*x until I was like 17, 18. I was a late starter…No one liked me and stuff, right. I wasn't, um, a popular person…was always bumming I didn't have no clothes…I was just one of those guys you know…Mike Tyson to Ma$e, Cam’ron & Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson for ‘Come And Talk 2 Me’ (@comeandtalk2me)
Late bloomer or not, Tyson took his cue from Sonny Liston, regardably the most intimidating boxer. With a knockout-to-win percentage of 88%, the Brooklyn, New York City native maintained a similar gut and grind. The boxer and his tantrums were also equal parts of boxing lore. However, there was a time when little ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson was not so fearful and even avoided – as the boxer says.
He has also had a dark se*ual history despite starting late. In his fifties, Tyson has turned things around and conformed to a completely new life with his friends and family. Tyson is making a conscious effort to deal with his anger and maturity as well. When it comes to stepping in the ring though, the 58-year-old can just as quickly snap gears to that road rage again.
Mike Tyson urges Jimmy Kimmel to not count him out
With the November fight date fast approaching, the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fiasco is breathing air. The previous time the fight was booked, it collapsed before it was able to take place. Tyson blamed a stomach ulcer for the delay from July 20 to November 15, 2024.
Some still consider that there is just enough amount of “Iron Mike” in the tank for an upset. However, the regressing state and vivid imagery of Tyson with a cane had been hard to miss. Camp Tyson also says he is progressing well; hence the wish for a date change to just perform fully.
Tyson, who last fought pro in 2005 and has only done a few exhibition bouts, says he is ready. But the oddsmakers still have Paul as a -330 betting favorite to underdog Tyson. When Tyson recently appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘, he found the odds baffling. More so the betting line difference. Despite admitting that it’s hard to walk in camp, Tyson urges to bet big on him.
Well, I’m 60 years old. He’s 27. So, I don’t know…[laughs]…I started Jake Paul off, …On my fight with Roy Jones, I allowed him to fight on the card, and I decided I started him. And I’m gonna finish him.Mike Tyson on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘ (@JimmyKimmelLive)
That’s the fight’s promotional crux; odds and outs and defying with resolve. The odds are: Paul is bending ‘Iron’. Consequently, while the odds just chip in money for both parties, they also represent a certain reality about the fighters’ odds.
Tyson is capable of winning, but he’s definitely not the optimal choice to do so. There is a real question as to what condition he will be in when he steps into the ring on Friday night. However, if it comes down to how he sees it — bookies and Paul do not know what’s coming.
