Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield – 3 is reportedly off!

It looks like Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield 3 won’t be happening after all. The old-foes were expected to renew their rivalry later this year, as Mike Tyson recently revealed that he would be returning to the boxing ring on the 29th of May. However, the latest news from Holyfield’s team is that Mike Tyson has rejected a ludicrous guaranteed 25 million USD deal to fight Evander Holyfield.

Holyfield’s manager Kris Lawrence said, “We thought this was a done deal but it quickly fell apart when Tyson’s people declined all offers. We were negotiating in good faith all along and it appears we just ended up wasting our time.” The same was later confirmed in a statement from Holyfield’s team as well.

Holyfield’s camp later revealed in a statement, “Team Holyfield sincerely believed a deal was imminent, especially after the Hard Rock threw its support behind the project, and there were multiple other offers conveyed to Team Tyson. However, Team Tyson’s demands recently became untenable, and not what Mike Tyson had originally agreed on in direct conversations with Holyfield.”
