Last season, Mike Vrabel proved to the football world that he deserved another chance to become the head coach of an NFL franchise.

His previous stint with the Tennessee Titans was a mixed bag of success and disappointment, but the latter was not something he had complete control over.

Injuries to key players resulted in two losing seasons, after which, the Titans felt they needed to move in a different direction. That decision, though, has been an utter disaster, with them failing to win half of the games in each of the two seasons Vrabel has not been with them.

Since signing with the New England Patriots, their former linebacker has proved what a coach should be. He pushed his players to be the best version of themselves, and that resulted in a dream run to Super Bowl LX.

Even though some are cautious about the Patriots repeating that feat, they at least agree that with Mike Vrabel leading them, the winningest franchise in NFL history will not be scraping the bottom any longer.

As his players enjoy the offseason, the two-time NFL Coach of the Year was busy attending Pro Days, with his latest visit to the Arizona State Sun Devils’ practice facilities.

His goal is to identify players he can use to build on last season’s success. However, the father of two was busy doing something else, as a video clip confirmed.

Ryan Clark leads the praise for Mike Vrabel

The video shows Mike Vrabel working with the program’s top O-line prospect, Max Iheanachor. The Patriots’ head coach is seen teaching the young star techniques on how to break out of holds.

Former safety Ryan Clark saw this and praised the 50-year-old for being a players’ coach. Football fans followed, with almost every one of them giving Vrabel his flowers for helping younger players with the basics. Check out examples of those reactions below.

When the Patriots released Stefon Diggs, the veteran wide receiver immediately thanked the Patriots’ organization and his teammates for helping him have a resurgent season.

That, the opinion of his former Titans’ players, and Drake Maye‘s remarks throughout the season are proof that Mike Vrabel indeed is a players’ coach, and everyone loves battling for him.

Arizona State O-lineman could learn from Mike Vrabel more

Now that Mike Vrabel has proved himself to be a players’ coach, reporters at Arizona State’s Pro Day asked Max Iheanachor what he thought about his experience learning from the three-time Super Bowl champion.

It was definitely fun. He had some key (points) for me. It’s really a big blessing for me to be able to learn from him, and him being hands-on.

Max Iheanachor replied

The 6’6″ senior had fun learning from one of the best coaches in the NFL, and could be on his way to learn even more once April goes by.

NFL.com’s latest mock draft has the New England Patriots selecting Iheanachor with their 31st pick. With the need to protect Drake Maye, a top priority, Vrabel likely sees the Sun Devil as someone who can keep his QB safe.
