However one negative takeaway from the game for Arsenal fans would be the Emile Smith Rowe injury. The youngster is a bright prospect and the club would want to see him and Bukayo Saka get involved more in first team action.

Emile Smith Rowe hobbled off in the first half and didn’t look good enough to continue. Real Madrid loannee Martin Odegaard was brought on in place of Smith Rowe. Mikel Arteta in his post match conference said that Smith Rowe had suffered a muscular injury and won’t be out for a long time.

“It was a muscular injury, he wasn’t feeling very comfortable so we decided to take him out,” said the Spaniard.
