Arsenal has been dealt a stern hand as a lot of their players have been enmeshed in injury problems in the ongoing season. Amidst the notable names that Arsenal has already lost, Riccardo Calafiori has been sidelined with a calf issue. Meanwhile, his teammates, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ben White, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, have been ruled out with injuries as well.

As the injury list keeps on growing for the Gunners, Thomas Partey, who has been slotted in as a stopgap fullback, and midfielder Mikel Merino also missed training sessions held on Tuesday. With Arsenal gunning for the League, Mikel Arteta has made it clear that they will have to make hefty business in the upcoming winter window. Arsenal will need to bolster their reinforcements for the remainder of the season and, if possible, for the imminent seasons as well.

The window gives us an opportunity to strengthen the team if we feel that is needed and we feel that we have the capacity to do that as well. We are on it and just have to assess the situation because it is changing every week. I’m positive that in a few weeks we’re going to be in a better place.
