Boston Bruins’ forward Milan Lucic‘s wife, Brittany has now taken a massive decision. Five months after allegations of domestic violence surfaced up against the NHLer, his wife has filed for a divorce from him and bring an end to their married life.

According to reports from TMZ Sports, Brittany Lucic filed for separation from him this past Monday. She would cite “irreconcilable differences” as the main reason behind the dissolution of their marriage.

As per the lawsuit listed by her, the couple got married on July 19, 2012. She would mention November 17, 2023 as the date of their separation. This is one day before the 35-year-old forward was shockingly arrested on allegations of domestic violence.

It was reported that Lucic tried to “choke” her after getting into a heated argument regarding the whereabouts of his phone. She would thus call the police officials who arrested him.

A few days later, he pleaded not guilty to this allegations. The charges of domestic violence were later dropped in February 2024 when she refused to testify against him in court.

Milan Lucic’s wife Brittany demands custody for their children

While filing for a divorce from Milan Lucic, Brittany has also demanded the custody of their children. She though has requested supervision visitation rights for him which would allow him to see his kids while they are in the custodian care of their mother.

They are currently parents to three children, two daughters Valentina (born in 2013) and Nikolina (born in 2015) along with a son named Milan Jr. (born in 2018). She is thus also seeking spousal support from him.

The big question now is what happens to the life of Lucic? Following his arrest in November, he was placed on a indefinite leave by the Boston Bruins. At that moment he was sidelined with an ankle injury.

Though he expressed his desire to come back to the league and claimed he would speak with the officials regarding this matter, there has been no green light for him. The forward star who re-joined the team on a one-year, $1 million deal last summer, has not enjoyed his return to Boston.

His chapter with the Bruins is now likely over. Only time will tell whether any team will now approach him in the summer this year as he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
