Maxwell Jacob Friedman is one of the most vocal stars in AEW. The comments MJF has made throughout his career not only hurt other wrestlers but also triggered some fans. Even the U.S. presidential elections couldn’t prevent the former AEW World Champion from voicing his opinion. MJF made some controversial remarks about the most recent presidential debate between the two candidates, Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

MJF took to X and shared a picture of himself giving a speech during one of his promos. He mocked the two candidates and sarcastically announced his candidacy for the presidency. Many people in the U.S. were disappointed by the debate, believing that neither candidate deserved to be president. The wrestling community joined in the fun with the 28-year-old wrestler, making several jokes.

The decision is in the hands of the U.S. people, whether they choose Trump as their president or whether Biden retains his position. Speaking of MJF, he recently returned from an injury after losing his AEW World title to Samoa Joe at the Worlds End PPV last year. The Salt of the Earth attacked his former friend Adam Cole at Double or Nothing a month ago.

His return and promo got fans’ undivided attention due to his constant WWE references. Wearing a jacket similar to Triple H‘s and mentioning Vince McMahon on live TV, MJF made a memorable comeback. On the latest episode of Dynamite, The Two Year Vet challenged Daniel Garcia to a match at All In at Wembley Stadium before being interrupted by Will Ospreay.

MJF’s challenge to Daniel Garcia made WWE legend Bully Ray scratch his head

After MJF challenged hometown hero Garcia to a match, Bully Ray just couldn’t understand the logic behind it. However, when Ospreay offered him a title shot and upstaged his challenge, the WWE legend had enough. Therefore, he expressed his honest opinion about the segment.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer admitted that it was a good feeling for the hometown wrestler, Garcia. However, he didn’t understand how the latter was getting these opportunities from big wrestlers like MJF and Ospreay after just winning two “squash” matches. Bully also stated that the push for the 25-year-old wrestler felt forced.

So first, I'm scratching my head with my left hand when Max throws out All In, then I'm scratching my head with my right hand when Ospreay throws out the potential of a double championship match next week. I didn't understand it; this felt forced.

The Salt of the Earth will feature in a big crossover match against CMLL legend Hechicero at the Forbidden Door PPV. Meanwhile, the Aerial Assassin has a chance to become a double champion as he wrestles Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship.
