The Euros 2024 witnessed Spain take on England in the finals of the tournament. AEW star MJF had a lot to say during the match, demeaning the Englishmen. These comments came not necessarily as a result of some personal malice toward the nation’s people but as a way of taking shots at Will Ospreay, someone he is currently feuding with.
While Spain was leading the game 1-0, MJF took to X and claimed that the British were unable to deliver under pressure. The England national team has repeatedly failed to win an international trophy despite reaching the finals of multiple tournaments. Their last trophy came in 1966, when they won the FIFA World Cup.
The longest-reigning AEW Champion further asserted that another Englishman was going to crumble under pressure next Wednesday, referring to his match against Will Ospreay on the next episode of Dynamite.
Time and time again, the British prove they can’t win when put under pressure. Whether it’s the Euro Cup. Or This Wednesday. Englishmen just aren’t equipped to be athletes.

As England leveled the score, Friedman tweeted out again, calling it a lucky shot and asserting that they wouldn’t be able to do it again. When the English lost the trophy to the Spaniards, he penned another message on social media, laughing at the football team and their people.
MJF will face Will Ospreay for the AEW International Championship on the 250th episode of Dynamite
This week’s episode of Dynamite will celebrate the 250th edition of the show. It will feature The Salt of the Earth going one-on-one with the Aerial Assassin for the AEW International Championship. This was a match many expected to see at AEW All In at Wembley. However, the Jacksonville-based promotion has set up the match perfectly for this special episode of the weekly episodic TV show.
A few weeks ago, Ospreay defeated Daniel Garcia on Dynamite. After the match, MJF embraced the 25-year-old. However, it proved to be a ruse after The Wolf of AEW hit him with a low blow and left him bloodied. The AEW International Champion called out the actions of Friedman, who then challenged him to a match for his title.
This match will reportedly open the show, which will also feature several other high-profile matches. Mercedes Mone will be in action after issuing an open challenge for her AEW TBS Championship. Furthermore, AEW Champion Swerve Strickland will go head-to-head with AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada a week before leading their sides into a Blood & Guts match.
