It was quite a riveting post by the former AEW World Champion after the debut of his recent ‘Face of America’ character. He even dumped the AEW International Championship and replaced it with the AEW American Championship. It was a direct foreshadowing of his new gimmick against Will Ospreay.
The two stars have been in a heated feud. They had one banger match at Dynamite a few weeks ago. Now, the stars have aligned for another clash at the Wembley Stadium at All In next month. It is going to be interesting to see if MJF will be able to secure his new championship with the unparalleled talent of Ariel Assasin.
MJF makes unexpected comments about CM Punk
MJF and CM Punk had one of the most heated rivalries of all time in AEW history. The two stars had verbal battles that were no less than sparring sessions. The Best in the World parted ways with AEW last year and moved on to WWE. Now, the Salt of the Earth has some surprising remarks to make for the Second City Saint.

Speaking on the Casual Conversation Podcast, the former AEW World Champion said that he would like to call Punk a “mentor through hate.” He added that he was mentored by two of the greatest minds in the game, and one of them was the Straight Edge Superstar. It was pretty unexpected remarks by the 28-year-old star after having signs of some animosity with the Voice of the Voiceless.
I think I would use the word mentor through hate. So I was mentored by probably two of the most intelligent guys in the business. One was through love and one was through hate.MJF via Casual Conversation
The two stars had two matches in AEW. MJF won one while the Punk picked up the victory in the other clash which was a ‘Dog Collar’ match. Both of the stars have been the top guys in their companies. Besides, the Salt on the Earth looks to assert his dominance over the division in AEW in his recent run after capturing the AEW American Championship.
