“Biggest cry baby on Earth” – Twitterati slams Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole for throwing a fit over pregame ceremony running long

Gerrit Cole
New York Yankees’ pitcher Gerrit Cole got the start for New York but things didn’t go well for him early on in the game against the Boston Red Sox. On the other hand, his side kicked off their 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) season with a 6-5 win at home over the opposition in 11 innings.
The California native walked the first batter of the game, Enrique Hernandez, on four pitches and later gave up a two-run home run to Rafael Devers, a couple of pitches later. Cole ended up conceding three runs in the first inning and as a result, he was taken out after four innings.

Ahead of the start of play, Cole was seen being very upset over the pregame ceremonies going a little bit longer. And then, after the game, admitted that he was, indeed, not happy about how the game started four minutes later than it was supposed to.
He stated: “Tough settling in. Obviously, the first four pitches were not really competitive, and then honestly got burned on a couple of pretty good fastball locations in the first. They put some pretty great swings on it. Fortunately, we were able to settle in after that and give us a chance to win.”
Twitter reactions to Gerrit Cole’s ‘interesting’ remarks

Gerrit Cole, who further stated “that was an unforeseen challenge. Festivities got a little away from the schedule,” received a lot of interesting comments on social media.
