In the 2011 MLB Draft, Kansas City Royale selected Aaron Brooks in the 9th round of the draft selection. Shortly after he was sent to the training center and on 2014, April 5th, Aaron was promoted by the Royals to play in the major leagues. Later he was optioned back to the Omaha on 8th April, without appearing in a single game. Finally, he made his MLB debut on May 3rd. In 2015 Aaron Brooks was traded to the Oakland Athletics along with his teammate Sean Manaea. 

He earned his first major league win in his first game with the Athletics. On February 25, 2016, Aaron Brooks went to play for the Chicago Cubs. The next year he went to the Milwaukee Brewers and pitched for the ColoradoSprings Sky Sox of the PCL. In 2018 he was promoted to the main lineup for major leagues. On September 3, 2018he got drafted to the Oakland Athletics. He circled off to join the Baltimore Orioles in July 2019.

After completing the season with them he was allowed to pursue a chance in Korea on November 12, 2019. That year on November 14 Aaron Brooks signed with the Kia Tigers of the KBO league. He resigned from the team in the following year. Though later he got released from the team when signs of marijuana were found in a van tape he had ordered online. As of this year on January 31, he signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals.
