Aaron Judge is on a roll for the New York Yankees, he smashes his 54th season HR in the Yankees’ 5-2 win over the Twins on Monday at Yankee Stadium. He followed up the winning celebrations from The Bronx to Queens to cap off his Labor Day by taking in the U.S. Open night cap with his wife Samantha Bracksieck at Arthur Ashe Stadium, where American Danielle Collins lost to Aryna Sabalenka, 6-3, 3-6, 2-6 in the fourth round.

“Every single day I show up to work ready to go and do whatever it takes to get our team a win,” Aaron Judge said. “If that’s me moving a guy over, driving a guy in, making a play on defense — that’s what I’m focused on.”

“Man, it just gets more and more amazing what he’s doing. I mean, it really does,” said manager Aaron Boone. “Doesn’t get pitched too much and [is] just ready when it is in there. It’s getting hard to put into words what he’s doing. … Just a special season he’s in the midst of.”

Judge could be placed 4th All-Time, Most HR in a season, MLB history:

  1. 2001 Barry Bonds: 73
  2. 1998 Mark McGwire: 70
  3. 1998 Sammy Sosa: 66
  4. 1999 Mark McGwire: 65
  5. 2001 Sammy Sosa: 64
  6. 1999 Sammy Sosa: 63
  7. 1961 Roger Maris: 61
  8. 1927 Babe Ruth: 60

Aaron Judge added, “All the individual awards, accolades, stats you get throughout the year, it’s all based on how well you help the team out. So, if I’m not out there helping the team every single day, the stats and all that stuff doesn’t show up.”
